Diabetics

I should have posted this ages ago.. thought never crossed my mind until just now..

I am part of a group called "Connected in Motion" based in Toronto, Canada. It is an outdoor adventures group for Type 1 diabetics (sorry type 2.. you guys get all the press anyways..)

If there are any other type 1's amongst us here drop by the site and take a look at all the cool stuff we do.

Reason I post this here, is I am kind of the 'unofficial' video producer for the group and thought it'd be neat to connect with some other diabetics here.. even if you don't live in Toronto.. we have people that come in from out west.. and this year we had someone from Philly come up to one of the winter events.

Feel free to pass the site along to anyone you feel would benefit from it. It is a pretty awesome experience to be around many other people that also happen to share your disease.

Also, check out the last video i did for them here:

what, my type 2 diabetes isn't good enough for you people? ah it's probably for the best as i'm known for playing practical jokes. like adding several tablespoons of sugar into someone's canteen. :2vrolijk_08:

LOL
Even my Diabetes is 2nd class!

Something about this just jumped out at me. I can't explain why.

I can totally relate to this. I am not diabetic (although my diet has me moving in that direction), but my son Ian has Down syndrome. I have to tell you that when there is something not quite typical about you or your family, there is great relief in being in a room full of people who understand and don't need to have everything explained to them.
