Desktop location mixers

Hey guys,

I have a shoot coming up that will hopefully be shot in a studio and an interior location, rather than my sound recordist having an SQN hanging around his neck all day, i was thinking to rent or buy (if cheap) a desktop mixer to run a boom mic and probably a lav into. ive worked with one before during some presentations that i was told was quite cheap but im not sure of the brand.

I have had a search on the net but i'm not really sure what would be suitable for our slim budget...

Any advice would be great!

Simply lay the field mixer on a table.
The SQN is going to beat ANYTHING you find on the "cheap".

It was really just to have something that is more suited to the location but i understand now that it is probably better to stick with the SQN in terms of sound quality.
