Desert Combat Players?

I'm wondering if there are any Desert Combat players in the DVXuser community? If anyone plays post here and maybe we can get in a server sometime and I can school you in the Apache (j/k). ;D

Dude. I am Desert Combat! I love that game. I play daily. I play BF and BF Vietnam also but I always gravitate back to DC (because they just got it right)

Where do play?

wonder if the desert combat mod for battlefield will work on Mac though... doubt it. :(

I play in different servers all the time; I like most maps, but usually gravitate towards El Alamein. That map is by far the best, IMHO. I have GaySpy Arcade but don't use it because it is a POS and gives me mad connection problems when I play. I use The All Seeing Eye to find servers and buddies. My current gaming name is "Midget n' Broom" and my All Seeing Eye ID is 4971345; add me as a buddy if you want. Let's maybe try and meet up sometime for some gaming goodness! :D

Totally!

I usually play all over (BOW, Northern ALiance, Ninjaserve...) My game name is typically SEALTEAM 6 (Cause Im huuuuge) :D I can't fly for **** (I dont use a joystick) but give me the 60 anyday and Ill kill iraqis ( politically correct edit: the bad kind) till the sun sets.

My FAV map are usually the urban combat maps (Urban Seige, Basrahs Ege or Nights)

Yeah, the latest version of DC (0.7) was all about optimization, but it's still a resource hog. If you don't have a semi-beefy PC then it's time to upgrade! :)

Upgrading to a 256MB vid card this month? That's cool! Which one?

Man, I'm excited about Nvidia's newly announced NV-40 with 16 pipilines. I'm going to need it with STALKER, HL2, and Doom 3 coming out this year. Based on what I read Nvidia should take back the speed crown from ATI with that card.

Right now I'm running the same GeForce 4 TI4600 128MB (overclocked) that I've had for 2 years and it's still performing like a champ with everything set on max. detail. :D

Geforce FX5900

My current performs flawless with Vegas, BF and DC but with some newer games VIETNAM and Novalogics new MMO DEMO it has some chop.

I read that the 6800 will be around $299, and the 6800 Ultra will be $399; so I'm guessing that the 6800 Ultra 512MB will be ~$499.

hahaha believe me i'd love one of those alienwares shown up there on the top banner... Can't quite justify dropping coin on it just for gaming :) Unless some generous soul on here has an old pc they're looking to sell :)
