deselecting video efx for all events

I just have a simple question. I know how to add a video effect to all existing events at once. If I have one effect applied to all the events and I want to remove that effect can I just remove it from all the events all at once? The only way I can remove that effect is if I remove it from each event individually instead of all at once

It can also be done with Excalibur. And it can also be done with this FREE script:

Code:
/**
 * This script will remove all effects from selected events
 *
 * To use, simply select the events on which effects are to be eliminated.
 *
 * Written By: Edward Troxel

 **/

import System;
import System.Collections;
import System.Text;
import System.IO;
import System.Drawing;
import System.Windows.Forms;
import Sony.Vegas;

try {

  var trackEnum = new Enumerator(Vegas.Project.Tracks);
  while (!trackEnum.atEnd()) {
    var track : Track = Track(trackEnum.item());

    //Go through the list of Events
    var eventEnum = new Enumerator(track.Events);
    while (!eventEnum.atEnd()) {
      var evnt : TrackEvent = TrackEvent(eventEnum.item());

      if (evnt.Selected & evnt.IsVideo()) {
        var videoEvent = VideoEvent(evnt);
        var i;
        for (i=videoEvent.Effects.Count - 1; i >= 0; i--) {
          var effect = videoEvent.Effects[i];
          videoEvent.Effects.Remove(effect);
        }
      }

      eventEnum.moveNext();
    }

  trackEnum.moveNext();
  }

} catch (e) {
    MessageBox.Show(e);
}

Ok thanks alot guys, even though I think its an inconvinencee that you can not do it on Vegas alone. Jedi where would i insert that script in Vegas?

Copy the text. Paste it into Notepad, and save it as "RemoveAllFX.js" in the Program Files\Sony\Vegas 7.0\Script Menu folder. Then you can run it via Tools - Scripting and picking "RemoveAllFX".
