Dennis Wood in NYC

Beat Takeshi

Two-Hip Shakur
Dennis came down to NYC to play for a day and Arrik, Kwan and I had the chance to hang with him and have dinner. He blessed us with some awesome first looks at things to come and brought a flip down for me to play with. I'm going to try to get my old rails to hold up the flip but I think I will have to fabricate something to lift the cam a little. Will post some pics in a few days when I figure out how to get it on there. Thanks again for everything Dennis.

Thanks for hanging, Dennis. Had fun, and it was definitely interesting to get a peek at what Cinevate's got coming for its users.

I think Kwan seriously had a wad of cash in his pocket ready to buy your production model.

Good times.

I had a very enjoyable time - tasting the foods (watching dennis dropping a ketchup on his shirt. LOL) and moderated discussion on Modified Brevis, Ballare and Surprising Rail System (spectacular structure).
I feel "Team Cinevate" are knowlegdeable and up front on what needed to been done.

Once again Dennis, Erik and Aram, Thanks! That was really interesting and useful informative dinner meeting.

Well, I guess I better get in on the hug fest :-) A very enjoyable evening guys...and something we'll have to do on a much larger scale this year. Between NAB and Tribeca, I'm looking forward to thanking a lot of our users personally for their support.

I'll admit that seeing how stoked everyone was with the "new stuff" was real confirmation that we're going in the right direction. I just realized that because I left my camera at home, these are only pictures I have of my first New York visit. Thanks Aram!

Well. I put the flip on without looking at any manuals or watching the videos and it went on without a hitch. The support on my SUPER old rails didn't go up far enough to support the lens though but i think its still light enough to not have to use it. I can't wait to go out tomorrow and play.

Those are SUPER OLD rails supports but take comfort in the fact that not even the new one will give you the desired height without a riser, in which case your old support will serve you just as well.

Funny though, during out dinner Dennis cringed (seriously) when he heard that there were people with those original brevis to rails supports still out there. Send him a pm. Maybe he can work out an upgrade with you.

:)
It was all working fine before the new edition. I was actually happy with cause Johnny's holder looks even worse than mine does. LOL. His is reEeEally ghetto.
PM responded to.
