Hey Everyone,

I am curious to know what you guys feel is fair to charge for demo reels. I've noticed a lot of places online charge like $100-$160 bucks. I think those reels are just going to be 2 minutes of crap. When I do a reel I do an entire package, The reel itself, Menu Design, DVD design and trap sheet design. I spent about 5-6 hours a day for 5-6 days on this last one. Plus a number of hours printing 50 Discs.

Anyways, I'm just curious to know what you guys charge, and to show you what I've done ;)

This is his main reel. We also put together 4 other reels (one for film, TV, commercials and photo album)

Definitely needs de-interlacing. Also, that font doesn't match the style or mood of the video at all.

That aside, it was pretty cool.

Deinterlacing...damn. I don't even know how that slipped my mind.

Yeah, the fonts came from an experiment. After it was finished, I felt it was a little too long, and didn't hold the pace of the fast cuts. But it took a long time to do and Flipz really liked it, so it stayed in as it was.

Those guys ... ?? ..it's all one guy!!

If your creating a whole "package" deal for someone, including titles, creating menues, duplicatoin, etc you should of talked previously before you started the project on hourly wages/invoice. I always review everything with my client, tell them my hourly wage, what i think the estimate will be around and we continue from there...
