I love it. Thanks for posting this. I used to gaze fondly at the Philips 21:9 television, but sadly, too expensive and not offered for sale in the U.S. anyway.

Very intrigued by this new monitor (and slightly intrigued by the kurtX controversy). I don't really NEED a new monitor, but I've been lusting after a 21:9 panel since I saw the original Phillips a couple of years ago. Looks like it performs well, and the price is pretty tempting...

here's a good review -

me, i got this LG IPS 21:9 Wide Cinema Screen, sits next to my thunderbolt imac, and there is no difference. I like it better because it`s matte.

Highly recommended if you are designer or if you do color correction.

I was going to say they look like the same panel...but the LG has a better response time . It also cost almost 200 bucks more but the dell has d-sub. Here's a review of the LG -

Pretty cool concept, never really seen much about 21:9 screens. I still enjoy by 2x 16:9 screens though...

I always find it hard considering LG..... mainly because the most tvs they make are crap through and through. Are they any better at monitors like these?

I think these 21/9 monitors are very cool. I don't know if I really need one, but I kinda want one.

I don't shoot enough stuff aimed at a cinemascope ratio though. Even then, I can make do with having black bars on top and bottom in my preview monitor. I would think these would be great for PC gaming. I wonder if they'll become more common for gamers in the next few years? At least for those out there that build super high end gaming PC's that can handle maxed out games at 2K resolution.
