Deleting audio from a clip

I'm cleaning up a project for a client (HUGE FAVOR) and need some help.

It was a huge HUGE mess and I've organized everything to the point where I can handle it.

I'm trying to make a multicam sequence, but I only want to import the audio from CAM A, and delete the audio from B + C.

From what I can tell there isn't an option when I'm making the multi clip sequence.

I have to make about 50 multiclip sequences, so I want this to go quickly.

Is there a setting in final cut where I can delete the audio in the viewer window?

I don't think you can delete audio from the actual clips. You can however choose not to bring in the audio of the clip when bringing it into the timeline. Just click on all the audio source buttons to disconnect them and only the video will be brought into the timeline.

You are right, I cannot delete audio from the actual clips.

I'm making a multiclip sequence out of 3 camera angles, but I cannot see where I can choose not to bring the audio in... I'll search. thanks.

Hey thanks!!!

I totally figured it out.

Its my first time using XDCAM footage, and its not as friendly as p2 footage (my observation) with fcp, So theres a bit of a learning curve from my end.

And after my first time editing a rather LARGE project with xdcam footage, I can say that I have a new found appreciation, and will always prefer DVCPRO footage. thank you panasonic.

I did not realize xdcam footage will cut one shot clip from the camera, into much smaller clips in fcp, and will not join them together (like how p2footage does this with spanned clips) However the xdcam 1080p footage does look beautiful. Its dealing with it in post that is that pain.
