Deleted Files on Mac - HELP!

I need desperate help!!! Please read! I deleted 200 images and need to recover them! (they were raw photos captured in Capture One Pro 6 software on my Macbook Pro in OS X 10.6.8, (a proprietary image capture software, similar to Lightroom,) I then moved them to the trash and clicked "Empty Trash,") I had about 5 Gb (or 200 images each with file extension ".IIQ"). Once the files were in the trash, I hit "empty trash." I have bought THREE "file recovery softwares" online, and some pull up un-recovered files - stuff I can see from 4 or 5 years ago! But nothing from yesterday!! This is a unique file extension I know, but I must be missing something? It says "30 Gb recovered" in the recovery softwares from deleted files, so surely, my 5 Gb must be in there, right? I have combed the folders and cannot find the files (maybe they were re-named?) - please HELP! This is a very important job and I am screwed if I do not find them. I will paypal anyone one-hundred-dollars who can solve this for me! Please help!!!!! I know this isn't FCP but I am an avid DVX'r and am in desperate need of help - any help appreciated!

Recovering the files is going to come down to where they were written and if they were overwritten. Emptying the trash doesn't actually erase them, it just tells the computer that the space they occupy can be overwritten. Usually you can rescue them right away. The problem comes if you then keep using the computer and keep on generating data or writing to the hard drive (like installing recovery software). Once the files are overwritten, then there's no rescuing them because the data no longer is there.
Good luck.

"Prosoft Engineering Data Rescue" worked fine for a friend of me. His WD Raid deleted itself and he recovered everything, without the folder structure of course.

Also, try to search .IIQ in the Finder's search box.
