Deinterlacing video in Premiere Pro 2.0

I edit using Premiere Pro 2.0 and typically export my work as a Quicktime file for clients to upload to the web. I have never de-interlaced footage, nor do i know how, but I was told tonight by a colleague that i should always do this for better picture quality.

How do I de-interlace in Premiere? Or do I de-interlace using other software (I also have After Effects and Quicktime Pro)?

Thanks a lot!
Andrew

Deinterlace robs you of picture quality since you're basically removing half of an interlaced frame to make it one progressive frame. To deinterlace in Premiere, right click on the footage in the timeline, go into "Field Option" and select "Always Deinterlace."
