What the story with deinterlace when using FCP and shooting 24p.
I shot in 24p (not pa) and work in a 29.97 timeline....do i need to then deinterlace
before making a quicktime movie and then dvd or what:: thanks

You should never, under any circumstances, de-interlace 24p footage.

Instead you should be editing on a 24p timeline, and you can then render a 24p DVD straight from the timeline.

De-interlace = De-stroy the integrity and resolution of your footage.

Yeah, deinterlacing will basically lose half your resolution per frame of video.
