deinterlace filter?

I'm mixing 24p footage with 60i. I am getting fairly bad interlacing on the 60i footage when i render. Is there a deinterlace filter on vegas like there is on FCP? I tried going into the 60i footage properties and changing it to progressive scan but i still get the interlacing. I've tried a 24p timeline and a 60i timeline and always get interlacing on the 60i stuff, any advice?

In the project setting dialogue box, there is a drop down list labeled "deinterlace method"

If you haven't changed it, it defaults to blend fields. Just output with it on and Vegas will deinterlace for you.

ok it defaults to none. Then there is also a "blend" and an "interpolate fields" option. Are you suggesting to use the blend field?

Only use blend if you have little to no motion. Otherwise, you'll get a ghosting effect around anything moving. If you have motion, use "interpolate."

Another option is to use Mike Crash's plugin for Vegas, but that is a bit more complicated...
