I am trying to decide which one to purchase. I plan to edit 7d and 5d footage and occasional RED at 2K. Anyone can share some useful info rather than the hype I read at the manufacturer's website?
 
Kona LHi is your best bet. Analog and SDI in/out. Up/cross/downconvert. Everything the Kona 3 does, but no 2K. The Kone 3 doesn't have Analog inputs, and those might be good for some things.

BUT...you said you will be editing RED at 2K, so the Kona 3 would be your best bet.
