decent lens diffusion plugin?

I like the look of a touch of lens diffusion on my footage, but hate the rendering time of magic bullets. Anyone try the new blue fx film look plugins, or know of an inexpensive or free alternative for lens diffusion? vegas doenst have one built in. It has "glow", but im not sure that can be made to look the same.

I have no comments on "post diffusion," but you can try in-camera diffusion if you feel up to it. From regular filters like pro-mists, soft filters etc; or a Christian Dior stocking behind the lens. In the case of the Dior stocking, you can stretch more or less when placing it for a varied strength of effect.
