I just got CS4 and its fine and I like Adobe Media Encoder. What settings do I use to export my movie at the highest quality possible?
I exported a 10s clip in h264 and got 7kb file with terrible verticle lines in it (once i went full screen but I understand that its just my computer and once burned it wont be a problem?)
Then I exported it as microsoft avi thinking that this is its native avi format (correct?) and i get a 32k file that is good quality, kind of grainy, but no verticle lines.
If the verticle lines disappear the h264 is better quality and a smaller file. why is this? and then what do I do about dvds? I cannot find (or AME does not allow) the fine tuning of the exporting... where to control the bitrate or pixels etc. Its all presets (which might be good for me)... I want to know!
Basically I just want someone to calm me down and explain all of this seemingly overwhelming amount of material. endless amount of possibilities. Im sorry if I missed the be-all-end-all overview of encoding on this forum but if someone could tell me or direct me that would be amazing.
