I just saw this little brit film the other day. Man - what an amazing movie. Yeah it sounds like grindhouse cinema. Retarded boy get abused by gang members in small town, big brother exacts cold and bloody revenge etc..but not what i was expecting. The ending hits you like a sledgehammer. Powerful film-making by Shane Meadows. Anyway - to all of you americans and brits who haven't seen the film, i'd recommend it.
