Hey there, in my short horror film there is a quick shot of a dead dog laying on a bed. It has been partially dissected etc. It will only be on screen for a few seconds as the identity of the dog has been previously established in the short. I'm planning on basically finding a stuffed toy dog that is the same color, tearing it open and piling on some gut-like material and liberally applying blood. I think the audience will get it and also not be looking at the dog but at the young woman holding a bloody knife and turning to look at the POV camera. Any thoughts? Does that sound reasonable? am I overlooking a better way to sell this?
