I picked up a sony DCR-TRV33 from school that got dropped, its pretty screwed up, but I was wondering if it would be worth it to get it fixed so I could use it as an uploading device. I know it's a pretty cheap camera to begin with (like 4 or 500 bucks), it probably needs a full overhaul of sorts, but I was wondering if it would maybe be possible to get if fixed for relatively cheap? Who do i contact/send it to to do that?

I don't know of any cheap repair shops. It's difficult trying to repair these tiny cameras simply because they use very small parts. It's going to cost some money + labor. I think its just cheaper to buy a brand new minidv camera for 3 to $400.
