Hello
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience at identifying the cause of problems with DCP's (Digital cinema packages).
I have been creating my DCP's with Fraunhoffers Easy DCP and it has been working grate up to a point. 2 weeks age i made a 2K Stereoscopic DCP from 2 widescreen tiff sequences lasting 15 sec. And for some reason every time i play it it jumps frames at the beginning and sometimes adds in greens frames instead.
I'm not worried about the green, i have identified that that is the projector adding it in stead of black, but the skipping frames is alarming.
I have tested it on NEC and Christie projectors but only DoReMi Servers.
I have had a good look at the Tiff sequences and there is nothing wrong with them, i have converted them to jpegs to erase the metadata and then turned back to tiffs but same thing. I have had an expert look over the DCP's metadata but there seams to be nothing wrong with it.
My latest though was that the bit-rate was to high, but even on limiting this to 250MB it is still skipping frames.
Surly some one has come along this problem before?
Also i tried to test them on a Kodak server but they wouldn't even ingest the DCP's, has anybody has any trouble with Kodak servers seeing DCP's but refusing to ingest them?
