Day Without a Mexican shot on DVX

I rented the DVD after reading that it had been shot all on DVX. The premise is intriguing but the movie didn't quite work for me. However, the images were gorgeous, definitely video, but rich colors, HD-sharp, and very impressive on a large-screen television. The "making of" extra provided some insight into lighting and lots of shots of our camera.
Has anyone else seen it?

Jeez, I just saw something on this flick.  Now I can't remember where.  Wasn't it kind of a class-war comedy? Whatever images I saw didn't make me think twice. I just assumed it was film.

My girlfriend got a screener of this last fall. It's just been sitting on the shelf collecting dust/hairballs. Maybe I'll give it a whirl.

I saw it tonight, finally. Great idea, but thought the execution was hurting. This was a 45 minute movie stretched into 110 minutes. The original short on the DVD was good enough. There were some really funny moments, but over all, the film didn't work for me either, and I'm MEXICAN!!! The humor fell flat and I didn't like the lighting at all. Too videoish. I know that was intentional, but why use DVX cameras and not use 24p?!

I've seen alot of DVX Films that look like **** unfortunately. It almost pains you to hear "Shot on DVX!"
