Day Rate for Technical Director

I've done switching on many shoots, but was always either while working as an employee (got hourly rate regardless of job) or when I was working with a start-up company and we were doing crazy cheap work to build a client base (was fresh out of school).

Are there any Technical Directors out there? What are some industry standard rates for what you're doing?
