Day for night

[chris harvey]

anyone know of a filter for making day exteriors look like night?

Magic Bullet. Has a day for night filter.
I dont really like them. Kind of makes things look like bad 70s films.

You really have to shoot with day for night in mind. I've got one in my Film Effects that's pretty good, but really, you've got to shoot with that in mind.

Just color time in post to be darker, lower contrast, bluer and less saturation.

Overlaying a dark blue solid with some levels and curves adjustments works pretty well, but like Graeme said you have to shoot with that in mind.

Check out this thread....RyanT nailed pretty good.
