day for night/morning

I am editing a montage where the shots are supposed go from early morning (pre-dawn) into the morning with the sun already up. The clips were all shot with the sun up and I am trying to find the best combination of filters to use to make it look like it is still dark out in those first shots.

I have manipulated the brightness but it still looks kinda crappy and synthetic. Any ideas for filters to use or other ideas beyond the brightness control would be great. Thanks in advance. :)

Re: day for night/morning

Is there a reason why those shots you need weren't shot at that time of day meaning at predawn and early morning with the sun up?

If you have a situation like in that example on the Apple page, how would you color correct the sky? Those tall trees make it so you can barely see the sky in that example.

Yeah -- but you can select that color range and mess with it in the 3way.

Good luck,
