Day for night in greenscreen

Any tips on how to light day for night in a studio green screen? The scene is supposed to be around midnight but inside a room. Talent is sitting in front of a table with a candle on her side. Should I light the green screen separately and talent separately ?Thanks

Yup -- and plan on doing your grading in post. If you 'light down' on set you might get the look you want, only to have it fall apart when you try to pull the key. The problem is that when gain goes up, edges get nasty and even a good vector-keyer will have trouble. Even if you have your camera gain locked to low, some cameras will float their black-gain in ways you cannot control. Get your plate shots done first, design your lighting plot carefully, hope for the best. I've got some pix of some of my humble attempts at http://www.thedreamersite.com/interactive/#/photos/cgi.
Depending on the camera angle, you may have to replace the candle flame in post -- I had to do a similar chore with the shot of the guy sitting in his study with the lamp behind him. You might be able to get around this by having a 'practical' wall or other object between the candle and the screen, so that your keyer does not have to try to assign an alpha to the flame.
I've made pretty much every mistake that can be made on this type of thing, feel free to PM me with questions. I may not be able to tell you how to do what you want, but I can probably tell you how NOT to do it! ;-)
