Davinci resolve lite 10 crashing at startup

Hi guys, I installed this approximately 3 months ago and went to open it today to work on some 5d mk III raw footage and it just crashes on startup every time i open it. Logo opens with "starting up" written and then it just crashes.

Any ideas?

Using 2012 15 rMBP
16 ram 1600 MHz DDR3
2.7 GHz i7
 
Is this when you open resolve, or when you open a project within resolve?

If the latter, I've had the same when the project contains a corrupt clip.
 
This is a wild long-shot as I don't use Resolve but try holding down the SHIFT key while and during opening the program.
Several other programs use this method to open in safemode or open in default mode. (If your on PC, not sure about the Mac equiv. key.)
