DaVinci Resolve 12 Training

[digitalinnovations]

Does anyone have any experience with or recommendations for DaVinci Resolve 12 training? I would love to be more efficient with it and possibly even start using it as one of my main editors. The fact that I could do all of the editing and color in one app is pretty appealing.

Well, there's a difference between learning how the software works and learning how to use and/or combine its tools professionally and efficiently. Most training focus on the former: how the software works.

You can buy Alexis Van Hurkman's training from Ripple Training. You can choose courses focused on Editing or Coloring. They cost between $59-99 and are several hours each.

Training that focuses how to properly use a software you already know, that is—how to work like a pro—is much more rare. People tend to want to keep their secrets (at least the good ones) to themselves.

Thank you very much for the info. I'll check out those training courses and see if they fit my needs.

+1 on the Ripple training, it is well done.

Another one to check out is this one by Warren Eagles:

I found Lynda.com's training to be excellent: http://www.lynda.com/DaVinci-Resolve-tutorials/DaVinci-Resolve-11-Essential-Training/160715-2.html It's for DR 11 but most of it can be applied to 12. They usually have a free trial...

I'm giving the Ripple Training a try; just ordered it last night.
