Depends on your definition. If you watch and really digest his entire catalog, you may wonder if he didn't lose it decades ago.

Sometimes the artist isn't like his art. I guess this is more true with actors because we believe they are like the characters they play. I regard Lynch more of an experimental artist than a filmmaker. If Salvador Dali had child with Sigmund Freud. He's one of a kind. Amazing someone that far out there could achieve such main stream success. While looking him up I noticed someone remade Dune and that was supposed to be released on Dec 18 but because of the whole situation it must have been pushed back until theaters open?
