David Blaine and the Dive of Death

Ha ha

I agree; hanging upside down.

Woooooooooooooooooooooooow.

Yeah, that really fell into the category of Most Boring Endurance Stunt Ever. Sure, it's physically difficult, but who cares? Are we impressed wit WoW wonks who can consume 27 Mountain Dews within 6 hours and not suffer renal failure? I think not.

What he really needs to do is an escape from Alcatraz featuring guards with live ammo.

I'm sorry, but illusionists and magicians bore me, especially televised ones.

Take Chris Angel as an example. He does some cool stuff sure, but obviously being an illusionist it's not real. Therefore there's one of two thing, he tricked the audience, or (maybe an easier way) he paid the audience (you know, the ones that say "this is for real!" "man that was crazy! This actually happened!"). If you believe that the audience is never in on it then you'd probably believe that reality shows aren't scripted either.

As for the bullet thing, well if he used that tube thing then where's the magic in the trick? Plenty of stupidity of course, just no magic. Besides, obviously teeth can't catch a hot piece of tiny led traveling at incredible speeds. If the teeth somehow stood up to it, the bullet would not necessarily stay in place. Sure they're not scientists, but mythbusters tackled the myth of catching a bullet in your teeth, obviously disproving it, and showing why.

Then there's movies like the prestige that, although only a movie, shows the reality of magicians and what they'll do to create an illusion, including the classic bullet catching trick and having fake audience members.

Meh, not my thing when I know anything, even the audience members, could be fake.
