I'm looking at recording all my audio on a DAT (Marantz PMD671) instead of recording it through the DVX. Anyone have any experiences of using DATS and issues with synching ?
marantz is not dat ( digital audio tape)- its dar digital audio recorder
no issues , you work like film with your recorder and slate every shot .
if you looking for fast work buy digital audio recorder with tc capability ( internal tc generator) ,( fostex fr-2 , edirol 4 pro , sd 7xx or cripple tascam and aditional generator , or much more$$$$ others), then you can sync only few shotes during a day and almost momentary all the stuff on nle later
do a search on this issue it was crushed allot of times in this forum
