Darwin's Nightmare camera?

I'm guessing it's a Canon GL2 (XM2) 3ccd. I owned one of these last year and it had that signature red/ warm hue to the docco.
I read an article back, where in many cases they had to pass as tourists to get access and not attract too much attention. This camera looks very low key, and works well in low light.
My second guess is the sony VX 100 / 200.
Pretty sure it's not a Sony Z1 / Fx or PD ..
Again the colors reds looked too warm ...

It states on Hubert Sauper's site that the "film" is a 35mm film, not video. He has shot other documentaries on Digibeta.

Why do so many people assume that everything is shot on DV.

" The film was shot on digital video. Sharpness is excellent in well lit scenes, but shadow suffers from very visible grain. Night scenes in particular are heavily grainy. Colours are well rendered and life like."

"Budget: Only about $40,000 to shoot, but closer to $500,000 after prints, subtitling, sound mix, etc.
Shooting format: One small DV camera, operated by Sauper himself. "
