Dark Matter: New scy fy series.

WEll, it was kinda dark. They could have used a bit more lighting imo.

There was nothing particularly awesome or innovative about the cinematography, but there was nothing that stood out as really bad either, so it's serviceable.

As for the plot, well it's a pilot episode so it's the standard establishing the characters with not a ton of room for a lot of story. Typical cliff hanger, which is expected. You have to get the audience to tune in next week.

The characters are kinda stock, but there's plenty of room for development going forward and it usually takes a new series a while to get going so I"m not to worried about that.

The only real hang up for me would be if they try to prolong the mystery to long. Who are these people with anmesia? Murdering assassins for the "multicorps" or "freedom fighters" against the multicorps? In this context, multi corp is like the Empire. They are the bad guys.

It's not a bad premise to have these people find out who they are, but if the series tries to string this along to much it will get boring and I'll lose my interest fast like I did with Lost after three episodes when I immediately realized they were never going to tell me what the heck was this Island, and why are these people here? Tell me what's going on, and get on with the story. "What the heck is going on?" is not a story premise that will indefinitely hold my interest.

There's a lot of reviews out, but no real consensus good or bad:
