dark final edit

Hey guys. I CC'd with Colorista, made my DVD and when I played it on my TV it looked so dark and saturated. But, on my editing monitor (Not a computer screen) it looks great. Any idea why? This morning I ran the cable into my television and it does look dark, so it wasn't a DVD problem. Should I just hook up a 'regular' tv?

Is your editing monitor properly calibrated, do your levels look fine in your scopes, how are you connecting your computer to your editing monitor, and are the settings on that one TV funky?

Yes, I put up bars and they looked fine. I tried an experiment with FCP's CC, and let it automatically set the levels, so they were right. I'm using a DSR-11, firewire from the G5, SVHS to the monitor. The TV is pretty new, and the DVD player is a new Blu-ray player.
