Ok fellas,

this is my second post, I'm on a roll!

Now this isn't DVX footage but I trust your opinions and would love feedback.

Completed this just recently for the company Danish Bacon.

I wrote the idea, helped design the little guy and did a little directing and editing.

So what da ya think?

holy bacon! Was that CG? Was this shot on film or HD? Not freakin bad! I was thinking some Hi8 footage of some kid with jacked up hair eating eggs. Tight stuff!

Blue - "was that CG?" Come on, you know it wasn't real. Does your breakfast do that? I hope not!

That was very impressive. Can you please give some specifics on what software was used? Oh, the homepage is a little frightening. Please expain the handcuffs and toilet paper. Wait, maybe it's best you don't explain. :)

At first, I thought it was a guy in a rubber suit in front of a green screen and the CG was used just for the transitions from food to transformer and back.

Very nice dancing, Rooster! Great job all around!

Blue - I'm afraid Blue is correct, there was no magical dancing breakfast it's all CG.

PK - A company called 'Ark' did the CG for me.

First we used motion capture with a dancer.

It was built and animated in Maya and I think it was rendered in Lightwave.

All textures are taken from photographs and then mapped on to the 3D geometry.

As for the handcuffs and toilet paper errrr no comment.

Glad you liked it!

hahah that looks so nasty, those red buttcheeks. i wouldn't eat it afterwards.

really cool!

Nice. Looks real tight. Question, why was this rendered in Lightwave? Is it a better renderer than Maya?

Isaac - Not sure why it was rendered in Lightwave,

probably it was better for the kinda of look the CG guys wanted.

Jam - You are right in spotting the similarities because the ad is a spoof of the Citroen car commercial.

I wrote an ad with a transformer for the same company but for peugeot.

The cost came over a million british pounds. Peugeot wern't prepared to pay it.

I was real dissapointed, especialy as just after I left the ad agency they took the idea
and gave it to Citroen.

This is kinda a little payback!

Mmmmm... now I wants me some bacon and eggs! Err, well, I can't really bring myself to eat eggs at the moment. Bacon and hot dogs! Eggs cute. Dogs evil.
