I just heard that IDX is recalling some of their batteries. Apparently there is a potential for the battery to short out and overheat. I heard that they are contacting people directly and asking them to deactivate the bad batteries while offering a free replacement. I know that most of the shooters here use the smaller 7.2V batteries that come with the cameras but I thought it was worth mentioning since many people like myself still use 12V bricks and NP's. I was tipped off by an associate who told me that he was contacted by his dealer. I don't have any further info and there is nothing posted on their website about it as they may be trying to keep it under the radar. If you have any IDX batteries, you might want to contact them just to be on the safe side.
