Dancing With the Stars

All right, time for another thought provoking question here...

Did anyone watch Dancing with the Stars? I thought it was a goofy show at first but somehow got drawn in to it. I guess a lot of other people did too because it was the #1 show every week it was on.

I don't know if Kelly Monaco was the best dancer, but she sure had the best costumes! And that costume malfunction didn't hurt her popularity any.

I watched it once. Tonight. As reality shows go, at least it's not brain-poisoning.

She visibly screwed up a couple of times in her perfect-score dance; O'Hurley didn't. He got robbed.

But she did have the rockin' tight . . . oh, wait . . . family show . . .

ohhhh Kelly......

Yeah, Mr. Peterman got shafted. Oh well, it was good, clean entertainment. Except that now that grandma and grampa and the kids and the wife have gone to bed, dad is online trying to see Kelly naked.

So true! According to Mr. Skin, she was featured in Idle Hands and Late Last Night. Any movie "buffs" seen these movies?

I see her 'most every day on GH. :)

And so what about Playboy? The best teacher in my High School was a former Bunny.

IMHO John was ROBBED!!! Bouncing Boobies won out over talent and that was just WRONG! OK, now that that is off my chest ... at least the above picture as the A part of T&A rather than the T part ... since it was the Ts that won the dance contest!

Nice!

PS: I was actually turned on by that comment.

Moonwind - Your Avatar says Gulf Coast? What part? You guys preparing for Dennis?
I'm from New Orleans so I know the drill.... don't miss it.

We are in Mississippi. Thanks to Cindy we are already partial prepared. We have enough drinking water for the entire neighborhood :) and about 30 gallons of gas for our generator. We've got the food stocked up, enough flashlights to have two in every room - oh, and the essential battery run television set!

But most important of all we have a room booked in central MS (about 140 miles inland), have almost everything packed, and will be leaving early Saturday morning ... just in case. Anything over a Cat 2 this little girl hauls the A part of T&A just as fast as she can! (Even though our house survived Camille almost unscathed, I know how quirky storms can be, so I would just as soon not be here when Dennis comes to visit!) We are taking all the necessary items: the all important DVX100A and all accessories (less stands, tripods, and such), all our tapes, DVDs, software, hardware (at least the harddrives), all project notes ... and our two cats! Heck, I may be riding tied to the roof of the car in order for us to get all the important equipment in!

You said you were from New Orleans (do you miss it???) a city I LOVE!!! and wish I were "from" (and NOT the way I wish I was "from" our town in Mississippi ... far away "from" it <grin>). But at times like this I wish NOLA was from a galaxy far, far away as every single person living in the area seems to stay in Mississippi and takes 59 or 55 (or 49), causing traffic to resemble Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, New York City, New Deli, Rome, and London all rolled into one! Last year for Ivan it took us almost 7 hours to go about 20 miles! (Aaaaarrrrgggg!) We have been promised better evacuation control this year, but......

Thanks for thinking of us and thanks for asking! We will be taking our laptop and hope to be able to get on line, but if not we will be back next week!

Anyone wanna volunteer to come help us clean up??? If it hits close I can promise heat, humidity, enough firewood for 2 winters, and fire ants on every square inch of land! Everyone's welcomed to come join the fun!

Okay, you asked for it! Here's the T part.

I'll have to agree that John was robbed. But I think the T&A were part of the show's appeal.

Good luck with the hurricane. It looks like a strong category 4 right now, so I would say run, don't walk. We had 3 of them come through here last year, and it wasn't much fun. I'm just hoping it doesn't take a right turn and come to Florida.

nah - I miss my friends and family that's still there and the food but I don't miss living there. It's a great place to visit but it sucks to live there. I grew up there and never lived anywhere else until my wife and I moved to Vegas in 99'. Vegas is very nice and work is steady. It's much cleaner than N.O. Of course that's cause once a building is 10 years old here they implode it and rebuild!

If Dennis heads a bit west of its current prediction and slams into New Orleans I may be coming home to help my family.

Could someone explain this show to me. I've never heard of it before and I refuse to leave this website and do the research on my own. I won't cheat on DVXuser. I'm a one website guy!

six celebrities are paired up with six professional dancers and each week they learn a couple new dances (waltz, rhumba, foxtrot, etc.) and have a dance-off. three judges and the viewers vote and lowest scoring couple gets booted. it got huge ratings because of its ages 3-90 appeal.
