Dana Type Doliies - Why Four Wheels on Each Corner

Dana dollies have 4 wheels on each corner. This seems like it would add unnecessary drag/weight/cost with no additional stability. Does anyone have comments on why they don't have 2 wheels on each corner?

They are very stable and it works.

Think of a motorcycle vs a car. Each corner of the Dana Dolly is a stable platform eliminating side to side wobble that could easily happen if there were only two wheels at each corner.

I've found the extra weight helps stabilize the entire dolly, making the moves much smoother
