Looks like my flight home is cancelled... hope I won't end up like Steve Martin, keepin my hand warm between some stragers' thighs in a seedy motel...

Now THAT would be the 'Worst Christmas movie ever'.

What's up the weather? causing cancellations and delays in your part of Canada? where is that?

I haven't heard from my boyfriend who is I suppose "in-flight" going to Toronto, then Montreal.

sorry to hear about your flight.

Hmmm, you really should not be alone this time of year. Let me grab a bottle of wine... ;)

Re: Damn weather!

Thanks for the sympathy...

It's now official - they rescheduled me for a 5PM flight TOMORROW, going from Dulles to Montreal then to Toronto.

Screw it, I am driving! Anyone needs a lift from Washington to Toronto? :)

Tuning out, wishing everyone safe and happy holidays!

I'm no stranger to drinking to excess during editing (or anytime, actually). That way, I'm always surprised by what I see in the morning. ;)

Re: Damn weather!

Well, the only surprise was that I don't I actually got much done!

I blame in the wine prices in CA. We've been drinking "two-buck chuck," like water.. charles shaw $1.99...bad, huh.

So--did he take off? driving?
Actually I hear that it's quite good. I wish it was available in my neck of the woods.
It is alright. Nothing to bring to a friend's house, but good for lots of other needs..

funny, I had to add, that when it first came out, I bought 4 cases, thinknig, wow, what a steal!! this will be gone, soon! A year later the stuff is still going off the shelves and being replenished.

Re: Damn weather!

Yeah, I took off. Came to Toronto at 2:30 AM on Christmas Eve (wait, that sounds too silly, but it's true).

Most of the way it was smooth cruise, not much traffic, only about last two hours was snow and ice, and freezing rain, which made for some beautiful scenery but I was too tired after ten hours of driving to go out and shoot anything... :(

I didn't get back to DVX until now, so for all you drunks out there, I am having my fifth glass of nice Virginia red wine, and so, wishing you all good New Year...

Re: Damn weather!

One time I got stuck in Denver, so the airline put me up in a hotel. So as I was laying there, wearing nothing but boxers (It was HOT) watching a movie on HBO I hear something at my door. And I hear a key card go into the reader. Well I bolt up off the bed and run and slam the door shut and yell:

"There's someone in here, and I don't have clothes on. You must have the wrong room!"

And I look out the peep hole, and it's this man and woman, who look like they had just gotten married. The woman is insanely embarresed and yells "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! Come on hunny."

In the morning there was a note taped on the outside of the door that said "Sorry again"

That's my traveling story. :)

Re: Damn weather!

It was this flick called "Point of Origin" it has John Leguezamo and Ray Leota in it. It was actually REALLY good. I've since purchased it, I would suggest you go rent it!
