Damaged serial # sticker

I had my DVX outside on my tripod when it got knocked over. The view finder was facing up, the viewfinder hit the ground first and got damaged right on the serial # sticker. I contacted Panasonic to see if it's a replacement part and they told me it was not. I can get the view finder case replaced but then I wont have a serial number. Check out the photo.

Just get the broken part, with the serial # on it, returned to you when you get it fixed.

I have a service manual for the camera and the serial sticker is not part of the view finder case. I confirmed this with an email to panasonic.

Yeah, that stinks. Does it really matter though? It's just the sticker right? I'd say leave it damaged. You can still read the serial number and unless you plan on selling your DVX sometime it doesn't really matter. Unless I missed something like "the viewfinder is broken" in your first post, which I may have. =)
