If you are looking for a really great (and cheap) film festival to enter your short, check out the Dam Short Film Festival in Boulder City, Nevada. The festival will screen over 100 short films from February 9 through February 12, 2011 in the historic Boulder Theatre. Submissions are being accepted until December 1...so don't delay! My husband John and I have enjoyed the festival for the last four years and it just keeps getting better and better. We were also very fortunate to have one of our films in the festival two years ago and it had a great showing.
Besides the films, there are several filmmaker events throughout the festival including a "Dam" social at the Brew Pub across the street from the theatre and a filmmaker panel where you get a chance to speak one-on-one with several of the filmmakers attending the festival. Boulder City is a quaint little town just 30 minutes from the fabulous Las Vegas Strip! So, when you are not watching movies or checking out the "Dam" sites, there is plenty of entertainment in Sin City! This festival is very "filmmaker-centric". You will have a good time!!
