I'd like to replace the 1/4" screw on my Manfrotto 501PL quick-release mounting plate (i.e. the one that comes w/the Manfrotto 577 adapter/plate) with one that has a D-ring so I don't have to hunt for a coin each time I want to remove the plate from the camera. I've compared the dimensions of a few on Amazon but it's hard to tell if they'd work or not.
Does anyone know of a D-ring that for sure fits the 501PL plate?
