I am really enjoying this light modifier. It’s really cheap and you can use it in a lot of different ways. This video is about a cylinder light (sometimes known as a space light):

I make mine out of collapsible laundry bins. They're semi-disposable at that point. I had some black fabric pieces made so I can selectively control the light output by velcroing things on and off.

That’s really brilliant. They are pretty inexpensive, so I didn’t mind paying for the real thing, but it’s awesome to know that there’s an even more inexpensive DIY version!
