"Cutting out" the camera mic

I recently filmed a spot where I accidentally left the camera mic on along with the Lav mic. How can I "cut out" the camera mic so the audio is not as roomy?

I'm assuming one channel is the camera mic, and the other channel is the lav? If this is correct, just unlink the channels, and toss away the on-board one. Then copy the other, paste it in place, and stereo them together (option "L").

Yes, there should be a noticeable difference. If you mute one at a time, you should be able to find out which one you want to keep.

The lav will be in whatever input you used for it.

You've passed to an entire new level now... and it'll take some work to make it happen. Do you have soundsoap?

So, with that figured out, any filters I can use to make the audio less "roomy"?

Here's my last resort to work around some bad audio, turn up the volume to where you want it. Then pull background sounds out of Soundtrack Pro to cover the room sound/static. In my latest short it actually brought the film to life, I added rooftop rain and thunder. Of course this is a last resort. I had some people watch it and they didn't notice any static. (which was really bad before) :)
