I"m sure this is a noob ass question, but I was wondering how the easiest way to apply the same filters, cc, balancing, croping, to multiple clips, a cut and paste kinda thing if you will.

Copy one clip with the FX

then Paste Event Attributes on the other clips...

but i dont think it will work with crop...it doesnt for me atleast..youd have to recrop the other clips.

or...the easier way...copy the keyframe thats in the cropped clip and paste it on the other clips....but make sure to delete the original keyframe..

“Paste event attributes” will paste the cropping, too. But you may want to go in and tweak the cropping in each event manually once you’ve done it.

There's a really cool feature where you can save a "chain" of effects (sorry, I forget the terminology, and Vegas is on another machine), and apply it as if it was just one effect -- really speeds up adding the same group of effects to a lot of clips.

Yes. You click the little green cross in the upper right of the effects editor box. You can then save the chain of effects. You give it a name, and you can apply it later.

But for a quick copy within a project, "paste event attributes" is a whole lot quicker.

But if you already have effects on the clip to which you are pasting the event attributes, the effects you are pasting will be ADDED to the effects already there. Not in place of them.
