Customs Brokers Still in Stone Age

I was surprised to find that the large custom's brokerage firm with offices all over the world that a supplier of mine is using, told me today they are not set up to take credit cards but need to get a physical check from me.

It was all I could do not to laugh in their face as they will have to wait a few days for my check to arrive at the port city they are in and for a change they are the ones in a big panic.

Even mom and pop operations have at least a paypal account!
 
I like checks. Checks are pretty. Checks are friendly. Muah!

Especially since I've noticed that places are starting to charge $1 or so per electronic transaction.
