Custom one piece lens gears?

[Joncarr]

Anyone know a custom one piece lens gears? Not interested in Red Rock or any other lens gear ring that comes off and on. Looking for ring that is custom fitted per lens. If anyone knows if this is a custom or a site you can just order it from. Please let me know.

cheers

They are likely it. Most optics houses like Duclos or Focus Optics need you to send your lenses to them. They will then machine the correct size Delrin gear needed, then likely heat slightly to expand the gear so it fits the lens snug when cooled. Since you are in NYC, you should be able to have it done locally.

Thanks I just emailed about gear rings.

As for taking them in, isn't duclos and focus optics in LA though?

Yes Duclos and Focus Optics are in LA, but there are at least half a dozen shops in NYC which could do the work.
