Custom Cables?

Anyone know of a good source for custom AV cables?

I'd like to avoid huge loops of cable on a camera rig and in particular am looking for a short camcorder av cable.

I'm assuming this is for your 5D, on the composite output port? (The headphone-mini-jack with 4 connectors)

If so, a quick solution is that on most of the connectors I've worked with, the video pin corresponds with the Right channel connector of a 1/8" Headphone to 2 RCA cable (though sometimes it's the left - no idea why). In a pinch, or when I've needed less cable, I've used a cheap audio cable for monitoring. I'm sure you could find one that's pretty short too. Perhaps someone with a bit more wiring background than me will say that this isn't a good idea, but all I can say is that it works.

If it's for something more complex, Terry West out in LA has done great work for me making a custom cable for my Steadicam. I can pass on his contact info to you if you'd like.

Yep, for the 5D - composite out. I had a great source for custom cables but I'd need to rifle through some paperwork to find it.

I'll try a headphone cable, but since it looks like I may be relying on composite out for monitoring for a little while I'd like to get something right angle with some good shielding.
