CTB gelled tungsten vs. daylight

full CTB lowers the output at about 1 1/2 stop, so you get like ~33%.
also it's generally said, that tungsten fixtures outputting about 1/3 of an HMI one.

so let's say i got an 1K Fresnel Tungsten Head and gelling it with a full CTB.

what's the output comparable to an HMI Fresnel? a ~350W (doesn't exist of course), or again 1/3 of that, an ~100W HMI?

so in his example ~1200W tungsten + full CTB = 200W HMI
that means i was right with 1/6th.

Yes. You have to get 2x 650w with CTB to match one 200w HMI.
Or, if you were shooting a B&W film and colors didn't matter: 200w HMI more or less equals 650w.
