At the moment I'm testing out CS6 Premiere, and it seems, could be a hallucination... that it is in fact faster on my old Mac Book Pro 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and 2 GB ram.
I've been testing out Premiere Pro CS6 on the exact same machine, and I have to say it runs so much faster than CS5 ever did on my macbook. Even my encode times with Media Encoder CS6 have been boosted.
It's a good color grading tool, but where do you fit it in your workflow?
Does anyone use speedgrade? I am a bit puzzled by this product. It's a good color grading tool, but where do you fit it in your workflow? I usually cut with PP and do color grading in AE. Is speedgrade adding much value to bother with in my workflow?
I have played with it but that’s about it. I’m surprised it doesn’t have curves. I want to like it. Someone has to create an essential training video for it.
You should grade at the end. Now as for round triping back to Ppro I haven’t a clue. Yet.
I did find this at Adobe TV.

I found one thing CS6 does not like, MP4 640x480 SD Progressive footage
Speedgrade is not workable. Very buggy at the moment

Agreed, but I keep reminding myself that they just bought Iridas 6 months ago.
I am on windows.
Just switched to it from the Mac.
IMO, Resolve kills Speedgrade in every way imaginable.
