CS5 interlacing issues

I have a rendered multi cam sequence that is set to "always deinterlace" with Premier Pro, but the final render comes out interlaced even with footage that was shot on a digital camera. I used a h264 two pass encode. This has only started happening with the last two renders :crybaby: please help as this is a major project for me.

Cheers!

When you export it to H.264 with Adobe Media Encoder there should be two tabs on the video preview window, Source and Output. If you switch to Output you can see a checkbox at the top left called Deinterlace. Try exporting with that turned on. Here's a screenshot.

There are many digital cameras which shoot interlaced video. There are also many digital formats to which you could render which are interlaced.

Cheers Andrew, I didn't even notice that check box in the first place, I'll do a short test and come back with the results.

Always deinterlaced from the Field Options is useful for clips you want to play in slow motion or in freeze frame.
If you want your footage to be without fields set export to Progressive (or No Fields).
