CS4 to CS5 Upgrade / Workflow - PC 32 bit over to Mac or PC 64 Bit

[Steve Scott]

Hey all, upgrading from a 32 bit laptop to a 64 bit laptop. I'll either upgrade CS4 (32 bit) to CS5 on a PC or Mac.
My question is that if I just buy the Mac Premier Pro (i'll have to if I switch to a Mac i guess Adobe won't upgrade
CS4 PC to CS5 MAC?) Anyway, if I go w/ a Macbook Pro and Premier Pro the Premier Pro CS5 won't have any
compatability issues with the exports from After Effects coming from my 32 Bit CS4 right? I'd guess not but
being safe. Also, if anyone has any recommendations for fast laptop (money not an issue). I'm leaning towards
a Macbook Pro at the moment. thank you very much in advance

If you want fast (and money is not an issue), then I would highly recommend a laptop with a Quadro M series GPU.

Couple that with Premiere CS5.5 and you'll have a serious portable editing station that would rival most desktop systems.

wow, ok, i didn't think laptops could go that high in price! any recommendations more in the 2,500 - 3,500 range?

I guess "money is no object" doesn't mean what you think it means.
